NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP PROMOTION SCHEME

For Apprenticeship and Recruitment support, we provide an end-to-end service to our client, including registration under NAPS & basic Training. We bridge the gap between demand (Industry demand) and supply (skilled resources) by connecting suitable candidates with the industry. For this purpose, we have network and partnership with Degree and Polytechnic colleges, universities, ITIs, State Skill Missions and other stakeholders. We are authorized by Softzeal Technologies Private Limited, the Third Party Agency (TPA) for implementation of National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and Basic Training on Pan India basis. Our company offers solutions to large, medium and small clients across India. The Government of India continues to be well focused on Skilling as its major national priority. It targets to engage 50 Lakh apprentices against current number of 2.5 Lakh apprentices as its major HRD initiative. For this purpose, The Apprentices Act 1961 was amended and in August 2016 NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) was launched for promoting culture of Apprenticeship and also increase number of Apprentices in our eco system. It is a boon to industry as they can bridge required skill gap qualitatively as well as quantitatively and also to students as they get real-time On-the-job training.
MAJOR HIGHLIGHTOF NAPS
- Legal compliance of Apprentices act 1961.
- Apprentice expenses can be paid from CSR Funds.
- Introduction of Option Trade (for non ITI/ITI candidates).
- Engagement of apprentices in a band of 2.5% to 15% of the total strength of establishment including contractual employee (25% for Maharashtra).
- Government will reimburse part of expenses incurred in providing Basic Training wherever necessary and also part of Stipend paid to the Apprentices.
- Employers will not be required to cover Apprentices under Provident Fund and ESI scheme.
- The OJT time period could be 36 months.
OBJECTIVE OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
The primary objective with which the Apprentices Act, 1961 was passed is to meet the increasing demand for skilled craftsman in the development of the country. It is intended by the Govt to utilize facilities available for training apprentices and to ensure that their training in accordance with a planned program.The main purpose of the Act is to provide practical training to eligible students in various trades. The objective is promotion of new skilled manpower.
